abstract = "Fuzzy logic has been very useful in environmental studies,
especially for modeling, by an ability to admit degrees of
uncertainty to elements under analysis, not just the yes or no,
but also the perhaps. In this logic the operator is the element
that selects the targets, is responsible for the possibilities of
combining variables involved in the elaboration of a model. One
can find the level of restriction of the result, where only one
evidence may suffice to answer or problem, or when more evidence
is needed (more restrictive). In order to analyze the differences
between 3 operators in the elaboration of a model of vulnerability
to soil erosion using fuzzy logic, 5 tests of vulnerability models
were created using it. The analysis of the results, from the tests
performed with the different operators, showed significant
differences between them. You get pessimistic and optimistic
scenarios for an area of equality. The product generated by
operator E showed a restrictive result. In the operator or it has
shown less restrictive and formulated a more pessimistic scenario
considering a smaller number of evidences for the vulnerability.
The operator Range of different results to modify the value of
exponent g in 3, 5, 7 and 9. In Gamma 9 the best result was found.
It has been found that as areas most susceptible to greater
erosion action are in places that combine young soils, pasture
areas and on steeper slopes. In this way each operator presents
characteristics that can be explored from the dependent or the
                         objective of the researcher.",
